Trip wrap-up

I apologize for the lack of posting! Internet and time on the final leg of the trip was scarce!
So the last post was...Genoa...wow! Alot has happened since then! Well, for starters I am home now, and able to post pictures!
After our amazing day in Chinque Terre, we spent a few hours in Pisa. Pisa was, slightly overrated in my opinion. Basically all that is there is the complex (the baptistry, cathedral and tower). The tower was amazing to see, it was leaning way more than i was expecting! However, it cost 15 euro to climb to the top, ha! Even the baptistry and cathedral cost to get into...I sort of have an issue with paying to get into a church. If the church is supposed to be a safe place, then how can they charge to get in? Eh...oh well, just my own issues with the tourism industry....of which Pisa thrives on. I took the standard "watch me hold up the leaning tower" photograph...I felt so lame! haha, hundreds of asian tourists and myself holding up the leaning tower of Pisa together..oh man. haha.
After Pisa, we headed on to Florence, a very beautiful city! By the time we got to Florence, we only had 2 days of the trip left, which meant our sketch books were due very soon. Over the course of the trip we were taught a specific technique for analytical drawings of public spaces, building facades, plans, sections and details. That being said, the majority of our time in Florence was spent catching up and finishing sketches. This was pretty difficult especially since our Hostel had a swimming pool and a rooftop terrace! haha, it turned out alright though and I was able to finish my sketches just in time (on the train to Rome, hehe) Seeing the David was a highlight of Florence, he was so much taller than I was expecting! I snuck a few photos ;)
I'll post later about my post-trip trip through Rome and Verona with my Mom and my sister and my arrival home, where I have enjoyed countless hours of couch potato-ing and tv watching :)
